Security Engineer (Infrastructure Security)

We are looking for an Infrastructure Security Specialist to secure server operating systems, network infrastructure, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP). You’ll implement best practices for security, conduct vulnerability assessments, and collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to ensure robust protection across all environments.


Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and manage security measures for server operating systems (Linux, Windows) to mitigate risks.
  • Secure and monitor network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for securing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), including IAM, network security, and monitoring.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, patch management, and system hardening for servers and networks.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to ensure security is integrated into infrastructure deployments.
  • Support incident response efforts by providing expertise on server, network, and cloud security.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies relevant to infrastructure security.


Requirements:
  • Proven experience in securing server operating systems (Linux, Windows) and managing security baselines.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs).
  • Hands-on experience with securing cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and implementing best practices.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) and their security implications.
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
