We believe that byuniting the disciplines of engineering, design, and business, wecan build impactful solutions that create value for realpeople.The Information Security for Product Managers course is looking fora Teaching Assistant (TA) who can support the instructor forthe duration of Spring 2025 semester. Previous students of thiscourse are preferred, but persons who have recent industryexperience in software development and project management (minimum4 years) can be considered. This is an hourly paid position throughCMU. Current students and alumni are encouraged to apply.Core Responsibilities:• Assist the instructor in providing an effective learningexperience for students enrolled in the course.• Attend all class meetings for one section each week, for thefull duration of the semester.• Manage course activity online in Canvas, including but notlimited to supervising student submissions, helping to ensureappropriate structure, format, and best practices are followed inall submitted deliverables.• Review student drafts and final assignments, providingactionable, constructive feedback, notes, scores, and correctionsas appropriate.• Hold office hours for 90 minutes per week to assist students asneeded.• Clarify instructions for assignments to students, as needed,through office hours or email, or via Canvas discussionforums.• Meet with students and teams, as requested by the instructor,for the purpose of additional explanation and guidance on theassigned work.Inclusion and cultural sensitivity are valued competencies at CMU.Therefore, we are in search of a team member who can effectivelyinteract with a varied population of diverse audiences.
