Provides support to small businesses. Must be committed to serving a diverseDuties & Responsibilities
• Works with business owners and potential business owners to assist in the creation of
business plans, financial projections, marketing materials, press releases, budgets, records
management strategies, written agreements, human resources strategies and to identify and
apply for financing.
• Remains informed of new developments related to all aspects of business ownership.
(Reads periodicals, magazines, and newsletters; attends workshops.)
• Presents seminars and lectures to provide detailed information concerning starting and
running businesses in New Mexico.
• Coordinates with center personnel to develop and implement strategies that result in desired
outcomes for the Statewide Network.
• Meets professional development annual requirements.
• Assists in identifying instructors and topics for training workshops.
• Serves on assigned college committees.
• Prepares required reports.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

Work Hours
• Typically 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• May be required to work evenings and/or weekends.

• Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, accounting, finance, or a related
field
• Three (3) years in small business experience or a related field.
• Equivalent related experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.
