SUMMARY:
The Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is the City government's chief financial agency. OMB's staff of analysts and experts assembles and oversees the Mayor’s expense and capital budgets, which fund the services and activities of approximately 90 City agencies and entities.
The nonprofits unit designs and implements citywide funding initiatives in support of human services providers in NYC. Nonprofits provide a wide variety of City services to New Yorkers ranging from operating older adult centers to running shelters for unhoused families to hosting after school programming and beyond. Recent initiatives undertaken by the unit include the Workforce Enhancement Initiative (WEI), Indirect Cost Rate Initiative (ICR), and Human Services Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Data analysis for Indirect Cost Rate (ICR) funding exercise and research into issues facing contracted nonprofits
QUALIFICATIONS:
Data cleaning, Excel core competencies, quantitative analysis design
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate interns must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program. Candidates should have strong analytical, quantitative, research and communication skills. Additionally, candidates must be proficient in MS Word and Excel
To participate in the OMB Summer Internship Program, graduate students must be currently enrolled or accepted into a graduate program.
