Senior Software Engineer - Backend (Java)

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer skilled in backend Java development to help build the next generation of their networked digital identity products, focusing on privacy, security, and innovation.

Skills

6+ years of Java software development experience
Experience with cloud-based application development, preferably AWS
Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of collaboration, integration, and deployment tools like GitHub and Argo
Strong communication skills for diverse technical and non-technical audiences
Mentorship and team collaboration abilities
Ability to work autonomously and handle ambiguity

Responsibilities

Design, implement, test, and deploy backend applications for CLEAR's identity platform
Advance platform capabilities across industries focusing on privacy, security, and data architecture
Develop and deliver code across the full stack, ensuring engineering excellence with best practices
Collaborate with product and stakeholders to define requirements and solve complex problems
Make architectural decisions and drive continuous improvement in technology and processes

Education

Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
