Data Connector Engineer - Integrations

ClickHouse, a leader in open-source OLAP databases, seeks a Data Connector Engineer to develop and maintain critical data pipeline integrations, enabling seamless connectivity between ClickHouse and major data tools across multiple ecosystems. The ideal candidate has significant experience in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and software development with strong Python and Java skills.

Skills

5+ years software development focused on data engineering or ETL/ELT.
Strong proficiency with Python, especially data libraries like Pandas and SQLAlchemy.
Hands-on experience with dbt and custom adapter development.
Familiarity with ELT platforms such as Fivetran or Airbyte.
Proficient in Java with understanding of JVM tuning and concurrent programming.
Solid understanding of SQL, data modeling, query optimization, and OLAP databases.
Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
Passion for open-source community involvement.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain dbt-clickhouse adapter to enable data transformation capabilities.
Build and enhance data ingestion connectors within JVM and Golang ecosystems.
Architect scalable data infrastructure for real-time analytics and modern data warehouses.
Collaborate with commercial partners and the data community to ensure integrations follow best practices.
Contribute to open-source projects and advocate for user-driven development.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
