Senior Backend PHP Software Engineer (Remote)

Cloudbeds is a leading hospitality platform transforming hotel operations and commercial strategies worldwide. They seek a Senior Backend PHP Software Engineer to help scale and enhance their core platform with modern architectures and AWS technologies in a fully remote environment.

Skills

Expertise in backend software engineering using object-oriented PHP
Experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony
Strong knowledge of relational databases, especially MySQL
Familiarity with SaaS platforms and AWS cloud technologies
Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and testing best practices
Experience with complex data structures or inventory cache systems is a plus

Responsibilities

Implement new architectures, features, and best practices to scale the Cloudbeds platform
Contribute to service-oriented architecture initiatives and migration toward microservices
Write clean, well-tested, well-documented, and maintainable code
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-quality features
Lead technical discussions on complex systems and backend architecture
Promote engineering excellence through best practices in code quality and team processes

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
