Director, Vulnerability Management

Cloudflare is a global technology company focused on building a better Internet by delivering performance and security to millions of websites and applications. They are seeking a Director of Vulnerability Management to lead and mature their comprehensive vulnerability and application security program, driving risk reduction across the software development lifecycle and infrastructure.

Skills

Extensive leadership experience in vulnerability management and application security.
Expertise with vulnerability scanning and application security tools (DAST, SAST, SCA, secrets detection).
Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and remediation methods.
Proven ability to build and mature security programs and teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence effectively.
Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

Develop and lead teams in vulnerability management and application security.
Define and execute strategies aligned with company risk appetite and objectives.
Monitor security KPIs and report progress to executive leadership.
Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies.
Secure resources and build a high-performing security team.
Drive enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
Manage and optimize vulnerability scanning tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with engineering, product, IT, and legal teams to embed security best practices.
Manage bug bounty programs and external penetration testing.
Lead secure coding initiatives and threat modeling within SDLC.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and support audits.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred.
Relevant industry certifications highly desirable (CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CEH).
