Director, Vulnerability Management

Cloudflare is a global technology company focused on building a better Internet by delivering performance and security to millions of websites and applications. They are seeking a Director of Vulnerability Management to lead and mature their comprehensive vulnerability and application security program, driving risk reduction across the software development lifecycle and infrastructure.

Skills

  • Extensive leadership experience in vulnerability management and application security.
  • Expertise with vulnerability scanning and application security tools (DAST, SAST, SCA, secrets detection).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and remediation methods.
  • Proven ability to build and mature security programs and teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence effectively.
  • Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead teams in vulnerability management and application security.
  • Define and execute strategies aligned with company risk appetite and objectives.
  • Monitor security KPIs and report progress to executive leadership.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies.
  • Secure resources and build a high-performing security team.
  • Drive enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Manage and optimize vulnerability scanning tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, IT, and legal teams to embed security best practices.
  • Manage bug bounty programs and external penetration testing.
  • Lead secure coding initiatives and threat modeling within SDLC.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and support audits.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications highly desirable (CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CEH).
