Engineering Manager, Workers Runtime

Cloudflare, a leading internet security and performance company, is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Workers Runtime team. This role involves leading a talented engineering team focused on optimizing runtime performance and scalability for edge computing products while fostering innovation and diversity.

Skills

Strong experience with low-level distributed systems development
Proficient in C++ or Rust programming languages
Deep understanding of computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, and software design
Knowledge of web technologies including HTTP, JavaScript, and WebAssembly
Experience building scalable and high-performance APIs

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of engineers to build and optimize distributed systems and runtime features
Drive engineering execution and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
Shape product features and developer APIs for the Workers Runtime platform
Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent within the team
Implement tools, processes, and methodologies to improve team productivity and resolve blockers

Education

Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
