We will continually improve both the delivery of our products and services and the processes that support that delivery to provide a safe, efficient, environmentally sound, and fiscally responsible transportation system that delivers economic opportunity and enhances the quality of life in Kentucky.By joining our Budget & Fiscal Management/Division of Accounts/Program Billing Branch as a/an Federal Fund Accountant Manager in Franklin County, you’ll have the opportunity to serves as manager of the Program Billing Branch, and Federal Accountant personnel within the Division of Accounts. Responsible for the collection of over $800M in Federal Funds annually, annual SEFA reporting requirements for the cabinet, and the overall fiscal management of Federal Programs for the cabinet.Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following• Oversee the establishment, modification, and closure of all federal programs for the cabinet.• Process and report on GARVEE Bonds• Direct and coordinate personnel in preparation of the cabinet SEFA• Respond to audit inquiries of federal fund accounts.Holders Of This Job Will Obtain The Following Skills• Develop an in-depth knowledge of eMARS.• Develop good communication skills.• Gain knowledge of statutes, rules, regulations, and policies in KYTC.• Develop an in-depth knowledge of GARVEE Bonds.Skills and Expectations include, but are not limited to:• Outstanding Customer Service and support.• Positive and helpful attitude.• Willingness to learn and create a team environment.• Challenge driven, shows initiative and proves to be dedicated to the overall success of the branch.If you are looking for a rewarding career with a culture of employee involvement, where teamwork is the norm and measurement of performance is essential, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is for you!
