Additionally, this position involves mentoring new staff members by offering guidance during training, assisting with integration into the team, and addressing any queries they may have.Responsibilities:Guarantees precise and prompt examination of samples through diverse laboratory methods to verify the correct identification of specimens with appropriate documentation.Conducts examinations on laboratory samples in adherence to set laboratory guidelines and protocols for pre-analysis, analysis, and post-analysis stages.Works together with lab administration to create and revise standard operating protocols to guarantee compliance with top practices and ongoing enhancement in specimen handling.Observes and rectifies equipment and testing procedures, promptly dealing with technical problems to reduce downtime and uphold efficient laboratory functions.Supporting the coaching and orientation of fresh technologists to aid in their assimilation within the group and maintaining regular skill assessments to maintain superior performance levels.Carries out additional tasks as required.Qualifications:EDUCATION:Required:• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.EXPERIENCE:Required:• Four years of laboratory experience in a high complexity laboratory in designated specialty or subspecialty.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDRequired:Must have Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) pr Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB) or Technologist in Blood Banking (BB) or Technologist in Chemistry (C) or Technologist in Hematology (H) or Technologist in Microbiology (M) or Specialist in Microbiology (SM) by ASCP
