Purchasing Agent

Overview:Responsible for choosing merchants for non-contract things, getting best cost and conveyance, and putting requests to work with and facilitate the opportune receipt of things as indicated by client divisions. Performs assortment of obligations to buy material, hardware, product and supplies as per authoritative rules for cost, quality, and conveyance.Responsibilities:The requisitions that come in, consignment requests, and unfinished orders are processed and executed.Rushes the execution of major, current, and unpaid orders when necessary, and informs the requester of their progress.Records information about custom orders.Staff members can count on me for help and guidance, and I also provide training to enhance their skills.Conducts a thorough evaluation and analysis of product details, collaborating actively with contract, Lawson Team, and AP to ensure compliance with industry standardsQualifications:Required: High School Diploma or equivalentPreferred: Bachelor's in Business Administration or other related field.EXPERIENCE:Required: Minimum of 5 years in healthcare or other industry purchasing or related fieldLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:REQUIREDDrivers License | Valid Drivers LicenseIf driving a Cone Health vehicle, must have five (5) years of driving experience and MVR must be approved by Risk Management.PREFERREDGHX (Global Health Exchange) preferred and/or obtain within 1 year of hire date.CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) or CMRP (Certified Materials Resource Planner) preferred.
