Research Associate (Molecular Development)

Cradle is developing technology to press pause on biological time, for those who need it most. We're hiring a full-time Research Associate to support our Molecular Development team. You will work directly with senior staff to evaluate novel cryoprotective agents.


This role is open to both early-career and experienced candidates. If you are as passionate about our mission as we are, we encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all requirements.


Requirements:
  • B.S. in Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field, with 1-2 years of independent research experience
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques like molecular cloning, gel electrophoresis, histology, and microscopy
  • Experience maintaining mammalian cell cultures, ideally in the context of high-throughput screening
  • Knowledge of common readouts for cell-based assays, including spectrophotometry and flow cytometry
  • Strong scientific intuition and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable with fast-paced, rapidly evolving priorities
  • Bias toward action


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using automated liquid handlers
  • Experience designing, building, and using microfluidic devices
  • Proficiency in Python-based data analysis, using tools such as Pandas, NumPy, Plotly or Matplotlib, and Jupyter notebooks
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS), Git version control, and the Linux command line
