Data Analyst (Q4 2025 Contractor)

Karat is the world’s largest interviewing company, providing live expert-led technical interviews and analytics to help hiring teams evaluate engineering talent. We are seeking a Data Analyst contractor through Q4 2025 to build and maintain Redshift/SQL queries and Metabase dashboards that monitor content performance and core metrics for the Technical Interview Content team.

Skills

Advanced SQL proficiency for analytics and query optimization
Experience building dashboards for metrics review and monitoring
Comfort working with large, imperfect datasets and performing data cleaning
Familiarity with Redshift and Metabase is a plus
Ability to translate business questions into data models and visualizations

Responsibilities

Author and optimize SQL queries in Redshift to extract content performance data
Build, maintain, and iterate Metabase dashboards for core metrics tracking
Update and refactor existing queries for performance and result quality
Design performance triggers/alerts to flag content issues
Work with the Content team to define metrics and ensure data accuracy
Validate outputs, troubleshoot data anomalies, and document query logic

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, CS, Economics) or equivalent professional experience
Relevant certifications or training in SQL/data analytics are a plus
