Data Engineering Intern (Fall)

Aircapture is a climate technology startup focused on creating a circular carbon economy by capturing CO2 from the atmosphere. They are looking for a part-time Data Engineering Intern for the Fall to support data pipeline development, monitoring, and optimization alongside cross-functional teams, helping improve data processing efficiency and support climate change mitigation.

Skills

Proficiency in Python, including pandas and numpy libraries.
Strong knowledge of SQL; experience with PySpark is a plus.
Basics of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
Understanding of fundamental data science concepts such as data cleaning, feature engineering, and regression.
Familiarity with Apache tools like Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Linux, and Docker is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain scalable ETL data pipelines for operational sensor and machine data.
Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights.
Collaborate with test engineering and data analysis teams to translate business needs into technical data solutions.
Document IT scripts and support core data systems ensuring reliable workflows.
Serve as a contact for internal IT needs and coordinate with external partners.

Education

Currently entering senior year or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields.
Completed at least one course, internship, or hands-on project in data engineering.
