Infrastructure Security Engineer

Descript is a rapidly growing company developing a cutting-edge AI-powered video and audio editing tool. They are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to enhance platform security, identify vulnerabilities, and collaborate across teams to ensure secure product development.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of web application and cloud security (GCP preferred)
Proficiency in at least one general-purpose programming language, TypeScript preferred
Experience with authentication and authorization systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize and make security control decisions

Responsibilities

Design and implement security-focused infrastructure primitives integrated into products and development processes
Conduct technical security assessments, code audits, and design reviews
Lead remediation efforts for prioritized security issues across the technology stack
Collaborate with engineering teams to create inherently secure solutions
Identify and assess current and emerging attack vectors against products and services
Participate in penetration testing and security compliance activities
Promote security best practices organization-wide

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
