The Renewals Account Executive is responsible for working with the client's existing accounts, primarily in the US, to renew contracts and to grow the accounts spend. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who can effectively sell across various industries and customer profiles in both a transactional and consultative sales cycle.
Responsibilities
Proactively manage a portfolio of existing customers to achieve a +90% renewal rate and identify 10-20% upsell opportunities where possible.
Provide weekly sales forecasts with accurate renewal pipelines and status updates.
Become a product expert including the product's technical workings and practical business application
Regularly review account usage, adoption, and health metrics to identify customers at risk of non-renewal or churn. Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to proactively address these issues
Collaborate closely with Customer Success, Support, and Product teams to ensure customer feedback is heard, issues are resolved efficiently, and customers receive product enhancements that drive value
Requirements
3–5 years in SaaS, subscription-based software cycles.
Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
Proven record of meeting or exceeding renewal and upsell targets in a SaaS environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication in EnglishDetail-oriented, organized, with strong follow-through and record-keeping abilities; ; proficiency with Salesforce or comparable CRM tools.
Excellent negotiation skills and experience at retaining customers and avoiding license churn and reduction scenarios.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous workstreams.
Salesforce, Outreach.io, LinkedIn and Zoominfo experience preferred but not required.
Organized and process-oriented.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English level: C1).
Ability to build credibility with sales reps and clients.
Preferred Background: Sales-oriented professionals with experience managing accounts and renewals.
The high level of activity requires the individual to balance a range of responsibilities including outbound calls as well as territory and account support activities.
