Compensation Range: $60-70k per year

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Job Description

A Lead Admission Coordinator must demonstrate a personal dedication towards finding appropriate placement for our prospective clients. Observes and coaches the admissions department team members. Assists with trainings and employee engagement within the admissions department. With an emphasis on quality and urgency, a Lead Admissions Coordinator is expected to communicate seamlessly with clients, families, providers, and internal staff to ensure our prospective clients receive timely access to care. 

Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and work the duration of their scheduled shifts.  Lead Coordinators must also be willing to work outside of normal business hours, and on-call, when needed.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor, always. A Lead Admission Coordinator must uphold a high standard of communication, behavior and attitude when communicating with team members, clients, patients, and other professionals.
  • Ability to always work as an active team leader
  • Ability to problem solve from a solution-based place
  • Speak clearly, concisely and with passion about DBH service offerings
  • Make daily contact and prompt follow up with all active cases
  • Convey authentic empathy and compassion through words and tone of voice
  • Able to effectively communicate the features, advantages, and benefits of the program
  • Ability to manage and prioritize daily work within acceptable departmental time frames
  • Verifies insurance benefits and completes necessary documentation
  • Ability to discuss and explain insurance benefits to patients and their family.
  • Provide an estimate of financial responsibility to the patient and their family.
  • Provides detailed assessments on prospective clients which assures the client is an appropriate admission to the facility.
  • Reports impending admissions to all necessary departments
  • Knowledge and ability to work with designated software platforms

Qualifications

  • Computer competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of (EMR) Electronic Medical Record and (CRM) Customer Relationship Management Software programs recommended.
  • Previous experience working in the addiction treatment field required
  • Specialized training or working knowledge in chemical dependency treatment required
  • Knowledge and understanding of addiction recovery programs
