Accounts Receivable Clerk generates revenue for the hotel by ensuring that clients are properly billed for goods or services. They work with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts are collected in a timely manner, verify and record transactions, resolve account discrepancies, and perform other tasks to secure client payments. Responsibilities
Daily Cash handling and counting of cash transactions for the hotel
Responsible for the ensuring event invoices are processed on a timely basis and following up on payments owed.
Responsible for handling all the hotel event deposits in accordance with Driftwood Hospitality Standards.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Driftwood Hospitality standards
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
Comply at all times with Driftwood Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Maintain filing system for direct billing
Assist with other accounting duties as directed by the Property Controller
Other duties as required
Work Monday -Friday 4-5 hours per day
Fundamentals
High school education or equivalent experience is required. An accounting background is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are expected. This position requires the ability to compile facts and figures. You will regularly use a computer, various software and a calculator. You must be able to communicate effectively and courteously over the telephone and in person.
