Amplify is looking for a contract English Language Arts (ELA) Assessment Writer to develop assessment materials for grades 6-8, focusing on ensuring alignment with educational standards and enhancing student learning outcomes.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include creating diverse assessment content across digital and print formats, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring the quality and appropriateness of assessment materials.
Skills: Candidates should have a background in teaching, assessment design, and familiarity with ELA standards, as well as experience in writing assessment items and designing rubrics.
Qualifications: Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree in an education-related field and prior leadership experience in assessment content development.
Location: This is a remote position with some travel required to the Brooklyn office for collaboration 3-5 times a year.

Job Description Summary:
Amplify is seeking an English Language Arts (ELA) 6-8 Assessment Writer to develop Grade 6-8 core ELA curriculum assessment materials that reflect our program’s content architecture, reporting structure, and vision for overall impact while aligning to market needs, key literacy competencies, and learning standards across the United States. The Assessment Writer focuses on deeply understanding the vision for curriculum, embedded measurement, formative and summative assessments, and reporting in 6-8 ELA and may consult on other aspects of assessment, such as AI-informed scoring and feedback on writing; and AI-supported assessment development.
