Associate Data Scientist / Data Scientist I

Epicrispr Biotechnologies is an early-stage biotech company pioneering novel epigenome engineering tools to address unmet medical needs. We seek an Associate Data Scientist / Data Scientist I to collaborate with experimental biologists, lead data analyses, and develop innovative bioinformatics pipelines supporting cutting-edge therapeutic research.

Skills

Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and pipeline development.
Experience in experimental design and cross-functional teamwork with wet-lab scientists.
Strong communication skills for conveying complex scientific concepts.
Ability to handle and interpret high-throughput biological data.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with experimental biologists and bioengineers on experimental design and data analysis to support therapeutic and engineering goals.
Analyze complex high-throughput biological datasets from advanced screening assays.
Design, implement, and optimize custom data analysis pipelines for in-house experiments.
Effectively communicate analysis results to both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Support continuous improvement of bioinformatics tools, workflows, and methods.

Education

Master's degree required or Ph.D. preferred in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biophysics, Genetics/Genomics, Bioengineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related quantitative fields.
