Please note: This position is remote and available only within the EU region. Candidates must be in the EU and eligible to work in the region to be considered for this role. We do not provide Visa Sponsorships.

You will report to the Senior Creative Director.

The Marketing team is dedicated to managing the commercial and marketing functions in the company. Together, they drive EFG's commercial success through strategic marketing efforts. The Corporate Marketing & Brand team oversees multiple crucial functions:

a) They manage the creation and positioning of our brands.

b) Their efforts expand the presence of our brands and key figures across various media, both endemic and non-endemic.

c) They craft global brand partnership pitches and provide support for media and publisher partner pitches. This team plays a pivotal role in driving brand recognition and growth.

As a Design Director in the Brand Marketing Creative team, you will produce and oversee digital and print creative solutions to address our marketing needs for the Esports World Cup (EWC)the world’s largest gaming and esports event, held in Saudi Arabia.You will actively participate in and lead creative strategy, assist in the management of designers, oversee a range of design projects, and manage these projects autonomously from A to Z. Responsibilities include producing high-quality design assets, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring timely project delivery. The role requires advanced design skills, strategic thinking, and excellent communication. Success is measured by the quality of work, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous professional development.

What you’ll do: 

  • Mentor and support junior designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Develop training materials and workshops to enhance the team’s overall design capabilities.
  • Participate in strategic planning and contribute to the overall creative direction of the Esports World Cup (EWC).
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders, marketers, and any other cross-functional teams, bringing innovative and fresh perspectives across multiple categories to translate business opportunities into actionable creative ideas for potential and existing partners.
  • Create and lead global asset delivery for all design requirements.
  • Manage multiple projects and remain flexible through revisions while paying keen attention to detail.
  • Support the administration of production plans and processes to optimise and improve execution.
  • Assist with day-to-day production needs, including scheduling and coordinating studio time, remote recordings, and distributing and archiving visuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with gaming culture trends and insights, specifically focused on digital innovation and the creative landscape.

  • Project Management: Overseeing multiple design projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time.
  • Design Creation: Creating high-quality design
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other members of the creative team, as well as cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Creative Conceptualisation: Generating innovative and creative design concepts that effectively communicate the desired message and align with the EFG's brand and objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Conducting quality checks on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project requirements and client expectations.
  • Prioritisation and Time Management: Prioritising tasks effectively, managing workload, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Professional Development: Staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in design technology through continuous learning, training, and professional development activities.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in creating graphics and animations supported by a portfolio
  • Advanced Design Skills: Advanced level of PowerPoint and Creative Suite
  • Strong Knowledge of the KSA market region and trends (especially within esports)
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of design, including typography, colour theory, layout, and composition.
