Position Summary:
This position serves as an entry level internship position working in the PLM, TEM and IAQ departments. Internship is a full time temporary position through the summer with the potential to extend part time through the school year. Intern will assist all areas of the laboratory with administrative and basic laboratory tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sample handling and login, sample preparation, and general administrative tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Regular attendance and punctuality
· Assist with quality control administrative tasks
· Receive customer correspondence and direct the information to the appropriate personnel
· Prepare samples for analysis
· Log in client samples
· Stock laboratory supplies
· Maintain, clean and prepare glassware and other laboratory equipment
· Assist with special projects as needed
Education/Experience (BMQ):
Pursing an Associates or Bachelor’s degree in physical or life science.
Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):
•Strong computer, scientific, organizational and problem-solving skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, and a positive attitude
•Handle moderate stress
•Detail oriented
•Ability to follow instructions and comply with SOPs
•Effective communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
•Adaptability to work in varying laboratory environments
Requirements:
Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cary, NC are encouraged to apply.
Pay rate: $15/hr
Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
