Financial Analyst

Iconic (www.iconic.co) is a new studio company started by Expa that was designed to become a world-class advisory platform created to help business owners sell their companies faster, more efficiently, and to higher-quality buyers. Our team is small, but growing, and composed of experts and builders all possessing track records of starting and growing successful tech-enhanced companies. Iconic is backed by Expa, Oceans Ventures, and other strategic investors, and is revolutionizing the small business M&A industry.

We are seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to support transaction execution and new business development efforts. This role offers significant client interaction and requires expertise in financial analysis, valuation, financial modeling, and clear communication. The ideal candidate will be a strong team player with a keen ability to think critically, conduct thorough research, and present complex financial data in an accessible way.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of financial models and valuations to support M&A transaction activities and business development.

  • Conduct in-depth industry research, identify potential partners, and analyze investment strategies to inform decision-making.

  • Collaborate with senior management to deliver actionable insights, findings, and recommendations.

  • Assist in preparing high quality presentations, marketing materials, and other client-facing documents.

  • Participate in strategic discussions, including establishing buyer criteria, preparing transaction-related documents, and assisting with valuation analysis.

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial analysis, including historical data, projections, and underlying assumptions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (required).

  • 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.

  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent business communication skills, with the ability to create compelling presentations and written materials.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to work with incomplete information and manage ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

  • Strong initiative, integrity, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

This is a full-time position offering a salary range of between $80,000 to $140,000 based on experience. Iconic offers full benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. The Financial Analyst role is based out of Southern California, with the expectation that this person will go into the West Hollywood office Tuesday through Thursday and as needed.
