Job Description:

We are seeking a Digital Communications Senior Professional to promote, strengthen and protect Ferrovial’s brand reputation. This role will develop and execute high-impact strategic digital communications plans to build positive reputation, conversation and attention for Ferrovial and its businesses in the U.S., as well as supporting global initiatives. They will have passion and proven ability to drive narratives and visual storytelling across a variety of communications channels. They will partner closely with their Global Communications colleagues to lead campaigns telling the Ferrovial brand story and the ways the company is transforming the sectors and communities in which it operates.

The position is based in Austin, TX.

Objectives:

  • Develop a strategy to grow Ferrovial’s presence in the U.S., increase our brand recognition and reach our potential clients.
  • Implement Ferrovial’s global digital strategy across all business units as part of Ferrovial’s global digital team and in close collaboration with diverse communications stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Co-develop and execute strategic brand communication plans in close collaboration with Corporate Communications colleagues to deliver creative digital and social programming that excites and engages priority audiences externally.
  • Support various departments and business units with strategic content plans.
  • Leverage strong writing and creative storytelling skills to create content for a variety of channels and media formats that advance business objectives: standout social media and website content, bylines, paid content, media soundbites, presentations, marketing collateral, etc.
  • Plan paid brand campaigns on social media and emailing campaigns, including audience segmentation and ad optimization, executed by our agencies.
  • Execute initiatives across owned channels, specifically the corporate website, that prioritize the user journey and experience and advance Ferrovial’s brand positioning.
  • Ensure the website narrative and content are relevant and appropriate for US audiences. Experience with website CMS is a plus.
  • Facilitate collaboration and alignment to manage a comprehensive content calendar that tells a cohesive story to customers, clients, partners, investors.
  • Lead day-to-day management of external creative agency.
  • Monitor brand compliance and perception and contribute to strategic messaging and visual identity to enhance brand value.
  • Track and report on performance, engagement metrics, and digital trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Publish essential legal documents and reports to the web site as required.
  • Actively monitor the digital environment and conversations to strengthen and protect the company's digital reputation.

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or journalism is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of agency or in-house corporate experience working with or within highly matrixed global organizations. 
  • Infrastructure sector experience preferred, but not necessary.

Professional Qualities:

  • Ability to translate strategy into concrete actions by understanding the objectives, optimizing available time, identifying the teams to involve, and anticipating potential impacts.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing, social media trends, and content strategy
  • A global mindset with a strong focus on the U.S. market.  
  • Strategic thinking and creative ability.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Experience directing creative resources, with good design judgment and commitment to quality
  • A focus on continuous improvement and process efficiency.
  • Self-directed with an ability to independently manage tasks and meet strict deadlines. 
  • Flexibility and experience with geographically dispersed teams and diverse work styles.
  • Initiative and comfort working autonomously.
  • An individual motivated by new professional challenges and eager to grow.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English; Spanish is a plus

Computer Skills:

  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, social media scheduling platforms, and web tools (e.g., WordPress, Cision, Brandwatch, Google Analytics)
  • Content management tool: Hootsuite
  • Social media platforms
  • Marketing automation or emailing tools
  • Social listening tools
  • CMS: WordPress
