JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Undergraduate Admissions and Campus Experience Program Director plays a key leadership role in managing the recruitment and engagement of prospective undergraduate students through personalized admissions processes and campus tour experiences. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of campus tour operations, leading a team of admissions professionals, and working closely with various departments to ensure a seamless, informative, and welcoming experience for prospective students and their families. The Program Director will collaborate with marketing, communications, and other academic departments to help achieve enrollment goals while providing strategic direction and fostering a student-centered admissions experience.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for undergraduate recruitment and enrollment.
Analyze recruitment data to identify trends, assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies, and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with admissions staff to ensure the timely and accurate processing of student applications, evaluations, and decisions.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of campus tours, including scheduling, training, and managing tour guides.
Develop and enhance the campus tour experience, ensuring prospective students and families receive relevant and engaging information about the institution.
Collaborate with various campus departments to update and customize tour content based on prospective student interests (e.g., academic programs, extracurricular activities, student services).
Coordinate group tours and special events (e.g., open houses, admitted student days, and alumni engagement activities).
Hire, train, and supervise a team of admissions counselors and tour guides to ensure effective performance.
Provide ongoing professional development and coaching for team members, offering feedback and resources for success.

Non-Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing overseeing student worker(s) as needed.
• Support university events as delegated by the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience with event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of enrollment management practices and data analysis.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring teams.
  • Utilized CRM tools and other data systems to manage and track prospective student interactions and inquiries.
  • Track and analyze tour attendance, engagement, and other key metrics to measure the success of programs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven enthusiasm for working with prospective students and families and a passion for higher education.​
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and mentoring teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in higher education Admissions, Student Services, or a related field, including recruitment programs or,
  • Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience in higher education Admissions, Student Services, or a related field, including recruitment programs
  • Experience in enrollment management practices and data analysis.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Banner, Salesforce).
  • In lieu of a degree, any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • 6 years or more of professional experience in admissions, recruiting, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing campus tours

REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF LAW:

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • This position requires a criminal background check, which may include a Level II screening as required by Florida Statute §435.04.
  • This position is subject to federal and state privacy regulations.

NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE: This position is salary exempt.  The normal work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. However, occasional extended hours (weekends and evenings) may be required.  

PRIMARY OFFICE LOCATION: Florida Polytechnic Main Campus

TARGET HIRING SALARY:  $ 72,300 - $80,000, commensurate with experience.
