Senior Manager, Compliance Program

Flex, a growth-stage NYC-based FinTech company, is revolutionizing rent payments by offering flexible scheduling options to empower renters. They seek a Senior Manager, Compliance Program to lead and enhance their Compliance Management System, ensuring regulatory adherence and facilitating cross-functional collaboration.

Skills

  • 6–10 years of compliance or risk experience in financial services or fintech.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer protection regulations (e.g., TILA, ECOA, UDAAP).
  • Experience in consumer lending or payments operations, preferably with bank partnerships.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate complex regulations into actionable strategies.
  • Clear and effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Process improvement and compliance systems ownership.
  • Professional curiosity and growth mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Support enhancement, execution, and monitoring of Flex’s CMS to meet regulatory and business needs.
  • Lead policy and procedure governance in coordination with Legal, Risk, and Product teams.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable controls and tools for compliant growth.
  • Monitor federal and state regulatory developments and support change management implementation.
  • Develop and maintain CMS dashboards, risk assessments, and data analysis to identify trends.
  • Partner with Analytics and Engineering to implement monitoring controls and compliance workflows.
  • Collaborate with Legal on regulatory inquiries, investigations, and trend reporting.
  • Prepare and support responses to regulatory exams and state filings.
  • Provide compliance subject matter expertise and advise stakeholders.
  • Coach junior team members and delegate workstreams to support team growth.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • JD or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
