People Operations Coordinator

FloSports is a world-class sports media company strategically positioned to be the essential destination for passionate sports fans, delighting them with live event coverage, breaking news, highlights, stats, rankings, and team and player profiles. We are growing Our Sports every day by continuing to invest in our ever-expanding ecosystem, which consists of over a dozen sport verticals and hundreds of streaming partners. FloSports is creating the home for sports like hockey, track & field, racing, grappling, wrestling, cheer and more, and we are looking for innovative and passionate people like you to help us! 

THE ROLE:

We are seeking someone who will champion our onboarding program! This role will also assist with managing global payroll, benefits administration, employee lifecycle administration and general compliance.  The ideal candidate will be well organized, detail and process oriented and has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

This role will be based in Austin, TX and required to work in the Austin office a minimum of 3-4 days per week. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own new hire onboarding including preparing required documents, scheduling, booking travel, coordinating between various departments and conducting orientation sessions

  • Manage the off-boarding processes and workflows

  • Assist with end to end payroll administration including timely and accurate preparation of semi-monthly payroll processing for full time and hourly employees in the United States and Canada

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel changes and payroll details

  • Assist with benefits administration including new hire enrollments, change reporting, wellness fairs, open enrollment, benefits reconciliation and audits as necessary

  • Serve as the main point of contact for HR inquiries and provide top notch customer service to our employees

  • Assist with FloSports reward and recognition program and annual award show

  • Support HR team with special and ad hoc projects

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred

  • Working knowledge of state and federal labor laws

  • Experience processing payroll is preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Superior organization skills

  • Proficient in MS office (Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Focus on managing time well and multi-tasking

  • Team player and ability to collaborate with other departments

  • Detailed oriented

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently

  • Ability to adapt in an environment where change is a constant
