Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to join our team remotely, responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications while leading technical efforts and mentoring team members.

Skills

3+ years of Ruby on Rails web application development experience.
Strong understanding of relational databases and database optimization.
Experience with background job processing systems like Sidekiq or Resque.
Knowledge of RESTful API design and development; GraphQL is a plus.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Heroku or AWS.
Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Ruby on Rails applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement APIs using API first paradigm.
Optimize application for speed, reliability, and scalability.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers.
Conduct code reviews and implement automated testing frameworks.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred but not required.
