Program Manager III, New Product Introduction Operations, Cloud Supply Chain

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) in hardware manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant fields.
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations.
  • Experience in materials planning.
  • Knowledge about hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation, and assembly and test processes.
  • Excellent leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity and strategic skills.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Operations Program Manager, you will be the primary Operations/Supply Chain interface to the development and deployment teams with the responsibility for driving operations new product development as well as supporting those products through production ramp. You are well versed in the Contract Manufacturing/ Original Design Manufacturing environments and will lead a team of professionals to ensure products are designed and built to Google standards.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

  • Lead large, cross-functional Program teams within Google and with external partners to prepare for production ramp and/or product transitions.
  • Plan and execute operations development activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality and capacity parameters. Ensure successful production transitions meeting program goals.
  • Manage ramp readiness with internal teams as well as external partners (i.e., material availability, cost/assembly/test/BOM/capacity readiness and transition plans).
  • Drive cross-functional teams to optimize the supply chain for specific strategic reasons, while accounting for risks, changes in schedule or demand.
