gpac is currently working with a general contractors that are looking to add an Estimator to their team. They are looking for an individual with ground up projects between $10-40M. Project @types would be office, k-12, higher ed, multifamily, and retail.As an Estimator you will be accountable for reviewing project plans and specifications, preparing quantity takeoffs and pricing all aspects of the project by quantifying and analyzing construction documents. You will estimate overhead components, complete unit pricing across multiple trade disciplines and perform system trade off comparisons by utilizing industry experience to develop cost estimates reflective of local market and project conditionsESTIMATOR DUTIES/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:• Review project plans and specifications, prepare quantity takeoffs and price all aspects of the project.• Manage, organize and or be a part of the overall bid and proposal process.• Reading, quantifying and analyzing construction documents in all trade disciplines. Estimate overhead components.• Use various system unit pricing across multiple trade disciplines using current and historical market unit pricing.• Perform system trade off comparisons on a macro scale (structural systems, mechanical systems, foundations, etc).• Perform conceptual estimates with limited design quickly. Understand the level of detail appropriate for a particular stakeholder.
