Senior Software Engineer - Platform InfraCore (Remote, NASA)

Grafana Labs develops scalable observability tools used globally by millions, and is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Platform InfraCore squad. The ideal candidate has a passion for performance, reliability, and working with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure in a distributed, remote-first environment.

Skills

Experience with Kubernetes cluster provisioning and management.
Proficiency in managing cluster networking and scheduling.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Crossplane.
Strong programming skills in Go, Python, and Shell scripting.
Experience operating production systems and supporting reliability.
Comfort working with cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure.

Responsibilities

Provision and manage Kubernetes clusters throughout their lifecycle.
Oversee cluster networking components including load balancing, NAT, DNS, CNIs, and network policies.
Handle scheduling and autoscaling of clusters.
Maintain Crossplane compositions and Terraform modules for cloud service provider (CSP) resources.
Collaborate with application teams to understand requirements and ensure platform capabilities meet their needs.
Participate in on-call rotations for platform infrastructure health and reliability.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
