HR Specialist

The HR Specialist is responsible for delivering efficient administrative support that facilitates the smooth running of the HR Department.  The HR Specialist must first and foremost be the guardian of administrative procedure, contributing ideas for continuous improvement.  There will also be opportunity to be involved in HR projects and initiatives.  The overall objective is to continually raise the profile of HR positively within the Company.
A key part of the role is being able to handle a fast moving, constantly changing environment.  This role is central to maintaining a cohesive and positive working environment within the HR team, so being hands on and ready to help with whatever comes up is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the HRBP with the new starter and leaver process.
  • Issuing contracts of employment and new starter packs, ensuring correct accompanying forms and documents are enclosed and returned.
  • Obtain and ensure satisfactory reference checks are completed for all colleagues in line with company policy. 
  • Keep personnel files up to date. 
  • In conjunction with the HRBP, manage the probation period administration, ensure timely notification to managers of impending deadlines.
  • Provide advice on Company policies and procedures where appropriate, escalating any issues immediately.
  • In conjunction with the Payroll Executive, ensure all monthly payroll processes are adhered to.
  • Manage the HR Database ensuring information is accurate and up to date.
  • Responsible for the accurate inputting and maintenance of data resources and managing the HRIS.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR functions, talent acquisition, and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office applications.
