Incident Manager, DFIR - Remote (Anywhere in the U.S.)

GuidePoint Security, a leading cybersecurity solutions provider, seeks an experienced Incident Manager to lead client-facing digital forensics and incident response engagements, managing complex cyber incidents and coordinating multiple stakeholders to minimize risks and ensure effective resolution.

Skills

Strong incident response and cybersecurity expertise.
Experience managing ransomware, BEC, APT, and complex cyber threats.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate multiple parallel workstreams.
Familiarity with digital forensics methodologies and threat actor tactics.
Capability to deliver status updates to technical and business audiences.
Experience working with DFIR teams, negotiators, and restoration specialists.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary client-facing lead during cybersecurity incident response engagements.
Manage active incidents involving ransomware, BEC, APT, cloud, SaaS and insider threats.
Conduct initial scoping calls and collaborate on Statements of Work.
Oversee multiple concurrent workstreams and stakeholder coordination.
Deliver clear, timely daily status updates and executive summaries to clients and stakeholders.
Set and manage expectations with clients, insurers, and legal counsel.
Drive incident progression ensuring timely completion of tasks and resolution of blockers.
Lead development and quality assurance of incident documentation and final reports.
Engage regularly with cyber insurance carriers, breach coaches, and third parties.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
