Backend Engineer, Agent Collaboration Platform

Hebbia is advancing AI-driven knowledge capture with a mission to empower 1 billion users by 2030. They seek a Backend Engineer for their Agent Collaboration platform team in New York to build scalable, high-performance backend systems and distributed architectures.

Skills

Proficiency in backend and API development with Python, Java, or Go.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Working knowledge of Kafka, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
Experience leading software projects and collaborating across teams.

Responsibilities

Own and develop critical system components to meet complex customer needs.
Enhance the high-scale document build system enabling constant time indexing latency.
Architect and implement performance optimizations for efficient system operation at scale.
Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior engineers fostering growth.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
Strong academic background including data structures, algorithms, and software development.
