Backend Engineer, Growth and Data

Hebbia is developing an advanced AI platform that enables universal knowledge capture to empower users worldwide. They are seeking a Backend Engineer for their Growth and Data team to build scalable backend solutions, drive performance optimizations, and architect core integrations to support user engagement and platform growth.

Skills

Proficiency in backend development using Python, Java, or Go.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
Familiarity with Kafka, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Experience leading software development projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain robust backend APIs and infrastructure to meet complex customer needs.
Implement and iterate on a universal indexing system with constant time latency regardless of data volume.
Optimize system performance to maximize throughput and minimize latency at scale.
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and growth within the team.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related technical field.
Strong academic background including data structures, algorithms, and software development coursework.
