What We Are Looking For


Hume is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to build and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure for deploying applications, services, and AI/ML models.


In this role, you will collaborate closely with Hume’s creative and engineering teams to streamline deployments, manage cloud environments, and ensure high system availability and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud environments (GCP experience preferred) for deploying applications, services, and AI/ML models.
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost efficiency while maintaining high availability and fault tolerance.
  • Implement cloud-native solutions using services such as GCE, API Gateway,Cloud Run, and Kubernetes.

  • CI/CD Pipeline Development
  • Build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate the testing, deployment, and scaling of machine learning models and full-stack applications.
  • Ensure smooth integration of code from multiple teams (ML, backend, frontend) through automated pipelines and version control systems (Git).
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation

  • Monitoring and Incident Management
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
  • Implement automated health checks, error tracking, and incident response processes to ensure system reliability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence.

  • Security and Compliance
  • Ensure system security through best practices, including setting up firewalls, encryption, and access control mechanisms.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices, including vulnerability scanning and automated security testing in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.


What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • 2+ years of experience for senior designing and developing online and production grade ML systems.
  • Bonus Points: Startup experience - someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, can dive into the weeds and take full ownership of workflows from end to end. 
  • Bonus Points: Knowledge of Web3 tech and decentralized systems.


$85,000 - $105,000 a year
The actual annual salary paid for this position will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skills, prior experiences, training, company needs, and current market demands.  The annual salary range for this position is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. This position may also be eligible for salary increases, bonuses, equity awards, and benefits.
