What We Need:

iHeartMedia is the leading media and entertainment company and the largest podcast publisher, creating the biggest cultural events and conversations in the nation for fans and advertisers. The Director of Narratives is an exciting opportunity on the GTM team to create positioning, value proposition and key benefits iHeartMedia creates for our advertising partners.

This role is an excellent fit for a candidate whose passion for culture, music, and podcasting match their deep experience developing narratives around media, events, audience insights, ad tech solutions, and more. The candidate should also be highly organized and have a demonstrated track record of developing and managing scalable systems and processes in support of GTM efforts.

                                                                             

What You'll Do:

  • Serves as lead on the development of insight driven company narratives, including materials for key events, audiences, verticals, ad tech, and seasonal programs and initiatives. 

  • Leads prioritization of projects in collaboration with sales partners.

  • Leads audit and evolution of narratives, evaluating needs, challenges and building a plan for updated materials (format, topics, content).

  • Partners with research and insights team to build forward-thinking positioning that’s in line with company goals and trajectory.

  • Partners with various stakeholders and subject matter experts across iHeart to build consensus in narrative approach and positioning.

  • Works with GTM team and sales partners on roll out strategy, sales training, and talk track to ensure the right teams understand the material and are successful delivering the message to our partners.

                                                                             

What You'll Need:

  • Experienced marketer with expertise in the development of go-to-market materials in support of advertising sales enterprises.

  • A writer at heart with proven experience building narratives that persuade advertisers to partner.

  • Confident, polished, and collaborative marketer comfortable working with executive Sales, Marketing, Media, Design and Research partners.

  • Practices belief that urgency and accountability win.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to drive projects forward strategically to achieve project goals.

  • Passion for working in a fast-paced media environment where quick development and implementation of smart new ideas is celebrated.

  • 8-10+ years of experience in ad sales marketing/B2B marketing is required.

  • Media and Audio industry experience is preferred.

Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data.
