Job Description

Unique opportunity to join an aluminum company which is expanding its aluminum billet casting operations. You will support the cast house operations, ensuring high quality while keeping costs and waste down.

This job is with an aluminum billet manufacturing company in South Carolina, near Charleston. Relocation assistance is available.

  • Develop safe work practices. Seek opportunities for improvements in product and process quality.
  • Reviews production reports and solves manufacturing and maintenance problems, reducing costs and preventing shipping delays.
  • Solve production issues, helping to meet production schedules.
  • Conduct studies to maximize workflow and process utilization
  • Evaluate aluminum billet production methods, seeking opportunities for cost reductions and full use of available equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in aluminum billet casting is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, but not required. Candidates with extensive experience in billet casting will also be considered.
  • Knowledge of casting technologies, processes, and equipment.
  • Some experience or knowledge about automation and PLCs in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
