Data Analytics Core Engineer

IMC is a global trading firm known for its innovative research environment and world-class technology infrastructure. They are seeking a Data Analytics Core Engineer to develop and support scalable analytical tools critical to daily trading operations, requiring strong engineering and DevOps expertise.

Skills

Strong Python development skills with OO, functional, and async programming
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, especially Docker and Kubernetes
Proficient in CI/CD and DevOps lifecycle ownership
Cloud platform experience including AWS and GCP, plus infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or Open Tofu
Knowledge of data storage technologies including relational, NoSQL, and key-value stores
Familiarity with big data formats such as Hadoop, Iceberg, Parquet, and Arrow
Experience with distributed/batch computing frameworks like Dask, Ray, Spark, and Slurm
Familiarity with streaming data processing systems such as Kafka, Flink, and Beam
Understanding of ML platforms and vectorized computation like TensorFlow and XGBoost

Responsibilities

Develop and implement new analytical tools based on business requirements
Build and maintain stable, scalable distributed and streaming data systems
Manage the scaling and deployment of analytics tools from proof of concept to production across on-premises and cloud environments

Education

Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
