In 2022, the company was acquired by Infobip, the world’s most connected cloud communications platform.Why this role is importantThe Carrier Relations Manager - Transport is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Carrier Relationships. This role assists with profitability, network architecture, operations, and capacity management. You’ll negotiate and manage contracts related to transport facilities and enterprise services. In addition, you’ll develop scoring metrics related to vendor network reliability, cost, and profitability.More About What You’ll Be Doing• Ensure vendor rates and building lists are being properly managed and implemented. Review large cost impacts and communicate to the business as needed. Review weekly and monthly statistics of all vendors for performance issues and financial issues.• Collaborate with Operations team to manage capacity requirements for Enterprise customer needs as well as leased company network infrastructure -- including engaging vendors when needed to initiate new services, augmenting existing services, and disconnecting services that are no longer needed.• Instruct and lead the Operations team on large vendor projects -- including new vendor implementation, vendor decommissions, augments, trouble tickets, and performance issues.• Work with Network Engineering, Provisioning, Project Managers, Sales, Marketing and other business units to facilitate accurate and timely delivery of quotes, circuit questions, and other needs.• Assist Carrier Relations Manager – Voice as needed to negotiate with vendors on new rates that will drive down costs.• Identify opportunities for process improvements, resulting in demonstrated increases in production quality, efficiency, or quantity.• Develop dashboard/scorecards on financial and operational reporting.• Perform data review and clean-up of the Circuit Inventory & Order Management System as needed.• Focus on identified cost savings initiatives.• Build and maintain strong business relationships with Network team members as well as other internal departmental staff you will interact with.• Perform other job-related functions and ad-hoc projects as needed.Qualifications• Minimum 5+ years of working telecommunications experience - specifically circuit ordering/design/process flow/vendor management.• Extensive experience with transport carrier management, circuit designs, and quoting.• Good understanding of telephone/data networks and interconnection architectures.• Familiar with working with LECs, CLECs, Wireless Carriers, and Enterprise vendors & customers.• Demonstrated ability to parse, model, analyze, forecast, and report on large volumes of network-traffic related data.• Previous experience using database systems and other software tools to develop simple to complex data models.• Must be well organized and able to work well under pressure while maintaining consistent attention to detail. Prioritizes workload with ease. Highly self-motivated.• Master multi-tasker – able to balance multiple tactical, operational, and strategic tasks. Able to work effectively in a time critical environment.• Strong interpersonal skills; easily builds rapport with vendors, internal stakeholders, team members, etc. Is customer-centric and maintains a positive, professional demeanor.• Logical thinker, proven analytical ability and is capable of thinking beyond current processes; can assimilate new techniques.• Highly proficient with various Microsoft Office 365 tools such as: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etAdditional InformationSalary Range: $85,000-$105,000 annual base salary (the salary of the selected candidate will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, experience, education, skillset, and internal equity).
