Mid/Senior Database Administrator for Oracle

We are seeking to hire a talented Mid / Senior Database Administrator for Oracle, to join our Professional Services team and become part of our success story. 

What will you do

  • Work collaboratively with different teams to administer the build out and support of databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production system 
  • Escalate to certain suppliers on customer’s behalf to try to resolve issues outside of our control, such as bug fix requests
  • Communicate with the customer through formal correspondence 
  • Ensure compliance with all technical specifications
  • Database health monitoring, export and import, back up and restore 
  • Organize and provide daily operations and checks
  • Administrative tasks, such as, promotions on all instances, code changes, recompiles, data changes, cloning, relocate, rename Instances, performance Issues, query optimization, installation of new Instances, changes on the configuration, patching and updates, troubleshooting 
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation in support of production issues

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or any related field.
  • Proven experience 3-7 years as a Database Administrator for Oracle Databases
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Fluent in both Greek and English
  • Open to exploring new areas and acquiring new skills 

Nice to have 

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology or any related field
  • Certifications for all skills
  • Experience in administering other Relational Databases such as PostgreSQL, Sybase, or MySQL etc.
  • Experience in administering other NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra etc.
