Data Platform Engineer

• Design, build, and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and loading data into Snowflake,
• Develop and optimize Python scripts to automate complex data workflows,
• Implement secure and scalable deployment of data workflows across AWS and Azure, in collaboration with DevOps teams,
• Manage cross-cloud data replication and design strategies for seamless migration between AWS and Azure,
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal governance policies by implementing data masking, encryption, and access controls,
• Optimize data models to support analytical workloads and enhance performance for BI tools such as Tableau,
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment of data pipelines and workflows,
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for data pipelines, code changes, cloud deployments, and governance frameworks,
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data pipeline performance, security, and reliability,
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to align data platform strategies with organizational needs, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

Technical skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in data engineering or platform-focused roles,
  Strong expertise with Snowflake, Python, and cloud-native data services in AWS (Glue, S3, Redshift) and Azure equivalents,
• Proficiency in building and optimizing ETL/ELT processes across cloud environments,
• Hands-on experience with data migration techniques between AWS and Azure,
• Proficient in setting up CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and automating deployment processes,
• Deep understanding of data security practices including data masking, encryption (at rest and in transit), and access control management,
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and experience in applying them to cloud data solutions,
  Familiarity with data governance frameworks, metadata management, and audit logging,
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, and supporting their integration with backend data models,
  Ability to design resilient, observable, and scalable data systems in a cloud-driven, agile environment.
