For one of our clients, we are looking for an Accountant/Kreditorenbuchhalter (w/m/d) - deutschlandweit, remotely from Germany.
As an Accountant in the Finance department, you will manage accounts payable and process incoming invoices. Your role involves verifying, classifying, and booking transactions in accounts payable, travel expenses, and payments. You will be the primary contact for internal employees regarding accounting-related matters, ensuring that financial records are handled with precision and efficiency. You will also work closely with other departments to maintain smooth financial operations.
Accountabilities
- Process and verify incoming invoices and handle accounts payable transactions.
- Book transactions in areas such as accounts payable, travel expenses, and payments.
- Provide internal support to employees regarding accounting-related inquiries.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial data by reviewing transactions and identifying discrepancies.
- Maintain high standards of accounting precision and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws (e.g., VAT and Reverse Charge).
- Completed commercial training in finance/accounting or a comparable qualification.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in a tax consultancy or dynamic business environment.
- Solid understanding of tax-related concepts, including VAT and Reverse Charge.
- Proficiency with Excel and experience with accounting software (preferably DATEV).
- Strong attention to detail, quality standards, and a proactive, reliable approach to work.
- Native-level proficiency in German, with conversational English skills.
