One of our companies is currently looking for a Director, Patient-Centered Research, HEOR in the United States.

This is a high-impact, strategic role responsible for leading patient-centered research initiatives within the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) team. The Director will focus on clinical outcomes assessment (COA), regulatory submissions, and generating patient-sourced real-world evidence to support clinical development, market access, and value demonstration. This individual will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, regulatory agencies, and external partners to ensure that the patient voice is integrated into clinical trials and product strategies. The ideal candidate brings deep methodological expertise, strong communication skills, and a passion for improving outcomes in rare and complex diseases.

Accountabilities:

  • Design and implement qualitative and quantitative research to capture patient perspectives in clinical trials and real-world settings
  • Lead COA strategies across the product lifecycle, including endpoint selection, analysis, and regulatory submission
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure patient-reported outcomes and real-world data inform development and commercialization strategies
  • Contribute to clinical trial protocols, statistical analysis plans, and briefing documents for regulatory bodies (FDA, EMA, etc.)
  • Support publication planning and develop scientific content for abstracts, posters, and manuscripts
  • Engage with stakeholders including patients, caregivers, clinicians, and payers to incorporate diverse insights
  • Manage external research vendors and ensure timely delivery of high-quality project outcomes

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in health services research, public health, psychometrics, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of industry, consulting, or academic experience, including 8+ years in patient-centered outcomes research
  • Expertise in COA development, validation, and FDA/EMA regulatory standards
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of clinical trial design, real-world evidence generation, and endpoint strategy
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Experience in rare disease research (preferred)
  • Willingness to travel approximately 10-15% domestically
