Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) is seeking an experienced Special Education Programming Supervisor to join our Madrona Day Treatment program. In this role, you will provide administrative oversight for special education programming, curriculum development, and IEP compliance. You will support and guide special education teachers and ensure that students receive high-quality, individualized educational services. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about special education and skilled in program development.
Primary Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Social Services, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Specialist (minimum 5 years of job-related experience) in Special Education Field.
This position requires driving clients in a personal vehicle on behalf of the agency; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in the state of Washington, and have reliable, insured transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Administration, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Experience working with special education programming or intensive day treatment. Experience in monitoring compliance with IEPs, data collection and reporting, progress monitoring, and curriculum development. Administrative and program development experience.
Performance Requirements:
Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc. Driving is required for this role.
Work Environment: Frequent mobility and/or sitting required for extended periods. This is not a remote position and on-site presence with the team will be required.
Mental/Physical Requirements: While performing the job duties, the employee is required to walk, sit, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk, or listen.
