Full Stack Engineer

Koalafi is a fast-growing fintech company focused on providing flexible lease-to-own financing options to non-prime consumers across the United States. We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with strong front-end expertise to help build and enhance our customer-facing web applications and migrate legacy systems to cloud-based microservices, contributing directly to an improved financing experience.

Skills

Proficient in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular, with preferred expertise in React
Experience in UX including accessibility, user behavior, and responsive design
Strong understanding of front-end best practices like state management and performance optimization
Experience with back-end programming languages like Golang, Java, Node.js, or Python, with Golang preferred
Familiarity with HTTP/REST API architecture and web services
Experience deploying applications on AWS cloud infrastructure
Agile and Scrum methodology proficiency
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications and microservices supporting Koalafi’s Originations platform
Collaborate with engineering teammates to integrate features across front-end and back-end systems
Ensure high system reliability by executing robust testing, monitoring, and debugging
Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and share knowledge
Engage actively in Agile processes including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives
Research and implement new technologies to enhance system performance and user experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
