Director, Business Applications

LA28, the organizing committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles, is seeking a Director of Business Applications to lead and optimize enterprise business systems including Workday, Greenhouse, Agiloft, and collaboration platforms. The role demands a strategic leader with deep technical expertise and strong management skills to enhance the Games' organizational systems and support the committee's mission.

Skills

  • Strong expertise in Workday HCM and Finance applications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key enterprise applications such as Workday HCM and Finance, Greenhouse, Agiloft, Docusign, SharePoint, and Smartsheet.
  • Oversee teams including internal staff, managed service providers, and consultants to align business needs with outcomes.
  • Handle escalation of service issues across technology and business partners.
  • Identify and implement process and technology improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.
  • Lead change management and implement best practices within the application portfolio.
  • Develop and execute strategic vision and product roadmaps for enterprise applications.
  • Manage enhancement projects from requirements gathering to post-go-live support.
  • Engage with business leaders to understand needs and pain points.
  • Oversee design, testing, and integration of enterprise applications with other game management systems.
  • Establish governance, security, access, and data privacy processes aligned with technology strategies.
  • Partner with Architecture and Cyber Security teams to optimize applications and ensure compliance.
  • Manage complex SharePoint structures to facilitate organizational collaboration.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Technology or relevant field preferred.
  • Managerial certification is advantageous.
