In the pursuit of this mission, Everett High School is hiring a Theatre Teacher. We are seeking a passionate and creative High School Theatre Teacher to inspire students through dynamic instruction in acting, stagecraft, and performance. This role offers the opportunity to lead a vibrant theatre program, fostering students’ artistic expression, collaboration, and confidence both on and off the stage. Qualifications - Education & Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in theatre, performing arts, music, or music education required (or related field)
  • Michigan Teacher Certification in Art, Music, or English strongly preferred


Qualifications - Experience
  • Previous successful experience teaching in an urban high school environment
  • Previous performing arts experience
  • Previous experience putting on large scale drama productions in a school or community theatre environment


Qualifications - Skills & Knowledge
  • Knowledge of restorative justice practices
  • Knowledge of stagecraft and dramatic production


$46,942 - $95,000 a year
Salary is based on the LSEA scale. Years of equivalent experience will be rewarded if a candidate is certified to teach in Michigan.
