Job Title: Drupal Developer

Location: Reston VA (Hybrid)

Employment Type: full-time, 6 month contract to hire


Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Drupal Developer with experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Content Management Systems (CMS) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an Acquia Drupal 8 certification or higher and have a proven ability to develop, customize, and maintain Drupal-based applications. Previous experience working with government projects is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance Drupal-based web applications, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features for LMS or CMS platforms.

Customize and configure Drupal modules to meet specific project requirements.

Integrate third-party APIs and services with Drupal applications.

Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of existing Drupal-based solutions.

Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards and government regulations (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).

Participate in code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and provide knowledge sharing with team members.


Required Qualifications

Acquia Drupal 8 certification or higher (e.g., Site Builder, Developer, or Back-End Specialist).

Proven experience developing with Drupal 8 or later, including custom module and theme development.

Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.

Familiarity with Drupal’s API, hook system, and configuration management.

Hands-on experience with LMS or CMS platforms.

Experience integrating RESTful APIs and web services.

Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
